Let me introduce you to Kim!
Working with professionals in West Virginia who are committed to improving our area and building up others in our small community is one of my favorite parts about my job. I believe every one has an important role to play in society, and every individual I photograph has a set of talents, personality traits, and trained skills that need to be showcased in their images. People come to me for head shots, but leave with a powerful way to showcase their personality to potential clients. It’s my job as your photographer to bring all those unique traits about yourself forward in one single image. Photography is a powerful tool that I want you to take advantage of to set yourself up for success.
A few weeks ago I had the privilege of photographing someone who has such a big heart for helping people. Her name is Kim Harrison, and she is a therapist at Life Strategies in Beckley, West Virginia. Life Strategies Counseling is dedicated to helping people think through areas of concern and develop strategies to improve their lives in the wonderful state of W.V. They provide a confidential way to receive help with many things people may face throughout life such as: depression, anxiety, marital conflict, family, adolescent, and child therapy. It is wonderful to know that there are trained professionals in our home state who care deeply for people, and dedicate themselves to creating a “Plan for Success” for each patient. Within just a few moments of talking to Kim, I could already sense her presence of peace, joy, and attentiveness. She had just come from her complimentary makeup session for her headshot, and was feeling fantastic! As I spent the morning photographing her, we talked about all sorts of things, and ended up sharing the blessings that God has given to us in life. She continued to tell me, how her favorite part of her job is helping people and creating a way for them to deal with problems life sometimes throws at us. Kim definitely uses her gift of faithfulness, hard work, and caring personality to encourage the people she encounters. She has over 22 years of professional experience in her field, and has felt the calling to go into Christian Counseling to use her expertise for Christ. After Kim left, I couldn’t help but feel encouraged! She is a professional therapist with a God given passion to listen, help, and encourage people.
